Ms. Peacock's class donates to the mission

The students from Ms. Peacock's grade 10 religion class raised money to provide meals for those in need.  During the Christmas season they studied essays and watched The Soloist to learn about homelessness.  During a class discussion they decided that they should put their learning into action.  The class learned about how much the Downtown Mission does for the people of Windsor and wanted to help them do this.  It was just as important for them to do good in their community as it was to learn about doing good in their class work.  The class came together to collect money and help provide meals for 48 people at the Downtown Mission Christmas party on December 15th.  They are very proud of what they have accomplished and learned throughout this Christmas season.
