New School Year!

Well, a month has gone by and we have been working very hard to provide a smooth transition for our students in the Catholic Studies Department. 
We have been using a variety of different resources to help students feel connected while learning in class and from home. Some of these resources are Nearpod, Quizzez, Quizlet, EdPuzzle, Kahoots, Jamboard, and more. Each one provides a way for students to practice their skills and have fun.  The new Webcams are also a way we are trying to give our Cohort D students the feeling of being in class. 
 
This Quadmester the Department consists of:
Ms. Meneghini teaching grade 11 world religion.
Ms. Ibrahim teaching grade 10 religion.
Ms. Cozzolino Giorando teaching grade 12.
We would like to welcome  Mr. Senjanin teaching grade 9 this Quadmester.  He is new to F.J. Brennan and is doing a great job. 

  We all look forward to helping our students succeed in this new environment.

YPI (Youth in Philanthropy)

 The year is coming to a close and with that, the YPI event has also wrapped up. This event has grade 10 students in the religion classes research and visit a local charity in a bid to win funds for that charity.  These funds go a long way to help out the people of Windsor Essex.  This year has posed a challenge for the teachers and students in grade 10 who participated in YPI.  However, they still rose to the challenge and produced amazing work. This year we would like to congratulate:  Maya Williams for Noah's House  Donnovan Bennett for Family Respite Services  Raein Zara, Noah Hammett, Haydin Blain, Ben Farina, Louis Tessier, Hunter Moore for Ronald McDonald House Maryam Sako, Hailey Mallett, Sedra Yousif for Windsor Women Working with Immigrant Women Also a huge congratulations and thank you to Beth Peacock and Dawn Ibrahim who have worked with these students to help them produce such amazing work.   This could not function without you both.
